Venice Collection by OPI // Review & Swatches

Hi beautiful! Christy here,

Another new exciting release from OPI! I absolutely love OPI, one of the absolute best nail polish companies and considered to be the best by many. Their regular limited edition launches always get me excited because it feels kind of special owning something that is unique and something that only a few people may have and will be rare to find in the future. Is that just me? or does someone out there feel the same way about nail polish…

This new Venice Collection by OPI was released for the Fall/Winter 2015 season for those in the Northern Hemisphere, however do not think that us Australians are left out by this because many of these colours are neutral and have a hint of Spring/Summer in them, such as the few pastels in the collection. The collection is based upon Venice, “a city of opulent pleasures, lavish artwork, and breathtaking Baroque architecture.” It features 12 new lacquer shades which OPI Co-Founder & Brand Ambassador Suzi Wiss-Fischmann describes as “a collection of romantic reds, decadent blues, striking corals, dreamy pastels, elegant nudes, dramatic darks, and luxurious metallics. The 12 new shades will be apart of OPI’s permanent range with the “Little Bambinos Mini 4-Pack ( $24.95 AUD ) being a limited edition kit. The 12 full size Venice Nail Lacuquers are priced at $19.95 AUD each which is standard for all of their nail polishes.

In the Little Bambinos Pack, it includes the four shades, A Great Opera-tunity (lush melon), Worth a Pretty Penne (shimmery copper), Amore at the Grand Canal (ravishing red) and My Gondola or Yours? (luscious black).

First of all I have to say how much I love these mini nail polish sizes. If you are a nail polish hoarder like me, you will understand that it is almost impossible to run out of a nail polish due to the extreme amount of polishes you have to get through. Having these mini sizes make it much easier to have many colours of the collection with having the luxury to go out and buy the full size if you run out. I have to say that I think they did a great job on choosing the colours which were included in this pack. I highly recommend this kit to those who might be just starting out with their nail polish collection and want to add a little bit of a twist, or for those who love to stick to the neutral/basic colours which every girl must have in their collection!

My favourite colour in this set would definitely have to be Worth a Pretty Penne (shimmery copper), I just think that it is such a unique shade and is extremely appropriate for this rose gold trend which has been popping up everywhere! I’m not usually one for the shimmery/glittery nail polishes but this colour really makes an exception and does it all. I am really tempted to go out and buy this one in its full size. I really love that they included the melon shade as it is slightly neutral with a hint of peach in it which gives it uniqueness and something a bit extra. Every girl needs a good red polish and the one in this set is perfect. It has a blue undertone and is a slightly darker red which is so well suited for the Venice collection. Now the black, this is just a plain black with no shimmer, no glitter, just smooth and silky black. I love it, once again, a must have in every girls nail polish collection for those days you want to be a bit edgy.

Overall, I must say that I think OPI did an impeccable job with this new collection and an even better job in piecing together the Little Bambinos 4 Pack of mini nail polishes. I definitely, definitely recommend it to all of you seeking some great quality nail polishes. I also must add that the red and black shades are definitely fall appropriate, however the melon and copper can be definitely considered as subtle spring/summer colours.

I hope you all have an amazing day and enjoy the rest of your week!

Christy xoxo
