Hi Beautiful! Christy here,
If there is one thing that you should know about me, it is that I love everything that sparkles. Anything that shines, or has glitter manages to catch my eye, especially in the make-up world.
In saying this, I would like to show y’all my two current eyeshadow must-haves, the Australias Metallix Eyeshadows. Prior to buying these products I had heard a few great reviews on these shadows but never went out to buy them because I thought that I didn’t need any more eyeshadow in my life. But a few weeks back, Australis had a 50% off sale so I decided to check them out! Australis has 6 shades apart of their Metallix Eyeshadow collection, these are:
Plum Diddy, Gold Gaga, Jay Zed, Lana Del Grey, Gun and Rose Petals, Pearl Jammin. Can we just take a moment and appreciate the musician inspired names right now? I love.
So the two shades which I decided to pick up are Gold Gaga and Lana Del Grey, simply because Lady Gaga is my absolute favourite, and Lana Del Rey happens to be Grace’s favourite. Apart from this, I wouldn’t typically go for the kind of shade which is Lana Del Rey, which is a blue toned dark grey colour, but when I tried it out, I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely will be inclined to step out of my comfort zone more often with colours! Gold Gaga is such a beautiful rose gold/copper shade which is more up my alley and one I use a-l- l the time.
The formula of these eyeshadows are incredible, they are extremely pigmented and easy to apply. These products could be compared to the Colourpop Eyeshadows since they have similar packaging and would be used in the same way (using your finger to apply, or with a small synthetic brush). However the textures are quite different, I think that the Colourpop formula is a bit more drier and is harder to apply with a brush, whereas the Australis eyeshadows can be used either way, just as well. It is a bit of a shame that the shade range of the Metallix Eyeshadows is limited to the current 6 shades even though the ones they do have are amazing, it would be great to see more colours added to the range.
These eyeshadows are priced at $9.49 each and can be bought from Big W, Target, Kmart, Priceline and online at Australis’s website. I highly highly recommend all of you who have access to Australis products to check these eyeshadows out since they are so affordable, and speaking of affordable, right now Priceline has a 3 for 2 sale on all Australis products. If you wait around for sales you are sure to get these at an even cheaper price.
That’s it for today! Hope you all have an amazing rest of the week, just a little reminder to keep Paris in your prayers during this devastating time for all Parisians.
