Hey Beautiful! Christy here,
A few days ago, Priceline conducted their usual 40% off all cosmetics sale (this happened nation wide). To prepare myself for this sale, I went online to the Priceline website so that when it came to sale day, I would be able to spend as less time in the busy store as possible and avoid feeling overwhelmed with products. I really recommend you do this, especially if you know when the sale will be on. I made these purchases on Wednesday the 6th of April between two stores, one inside a Westfield and the other at the train station. The store at the train station definitely was a much more pleasant experience as it was less crowded (AND THEY HAD EVERY SINGLE PRODUCT IN STOCK – Major Key). Honestly though, there wasn’t really much which appealed to me in store so most of the products I got are things that I’ve had my eye on for a while rather than impulse purchases (which I have been trying to reduce).
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder $11.95 AUD -> $7.17AUD
This purchase is just a back up purchase for one of my favourite pressed powders. I love this powder because the packaging is really thin its easy to carry around with no fuss and it basically never lets me down. The shade I use is 004 Sandstone.
Essence Eyebrow Stylist Set $5.10AUD -> $3.06AUD
I saw Shani Grimmond (youtuber) use this powder on her eyebrows and thought it looked great when she applied it so I decided to give it a go, since it is was now only $3, what could go wrong? it includes two eyebrow powders, a lighter and darker shade, a brush and 3 brow stencils. I think the brow stencils are a cute added bonus in there, even though my eyebrow shape looks nothing like the stencils in the set I’m sure someone finds them useful. I threw the brush which came in it almost instantly it’s just useless.
L’Oreal Paris Brow Artist Plumper $18.95AUD -> $11.37AUD
This is one of the products I had been wanting to purchase for AGES. The first store I went to didn’t have it in stock but luckily the other store had heaps available. I got mine in the shade medium/dark. I haven’t gotten to using it just yet but as I look at the wand I think that it is a great shape and size compared to other brow gels currently on the market.
Australis Velourlips Matte Lip Cream in Buda-pash $10.49AUD -> $6.29AUD
Okay one thing I have to mention is that these suckers smell amazing … like … the smell of artificial grape flavouring in candy. AMAZING. I’m obsessed with the smell of it. This is basically just a liquid lipstick but in a cream form. Honestly, a lot of people dislike these and say that they’re too dry, but trying them out for the first time today, I don’t think that they are as dry as people say. In my opinion, the Kylie Lip Kit formula is much more drying than these. The Australis Velourlips dry down extremely matte and don’t transfer unless you rub your lips intensely and they are extremely easy to apply. So far I love them?!1? but I’m gonna have to keep testing them out before I give a final opinion.
Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Eastend Snob $12.95AUD -> $7.50AUD
This is a product I hear Amelia Liana (youtuber) speak about ALL THE FUCKING TIME. It is sold out so often but finally when I went into the Priceline at the station I managed to grab my hands on one. The formula is really really creamy and easy to apply and the colour is a gorgeous pink shade.
So that concludes my mini little Priceline haul of the products I got during the 40% off all cosmetics sale (my favourite type of sale). Did any of you set out and take part of this amazing event? If you did, let me know what you got, I’m super interested to find out!
