Colourpop Cosmetics Purchases

Hello beautiful! Christy here,

Some of you beauty addicts out there may know, there was a huuuuuuge sale which Colourpop had a few weeks ago – 20% off storewide! – now this was a big deal for Colourpop, they usually never have sales like this, and it lasted for a few days too! So of course, I had to take advantage of the amazing offer, grabbed a few friends and we all joined together and splashed some cash. So here are the things I managed to pick up!

HoneyDude Liner – $5 USD
I’ve been hearing such great things about the Colourpop eyeliners that I just had to pick one up. This colour is a staple warm nude for the waterline, perfect for brightening the eyes. They are really easy to glide onto the lid and have great pigmentation but I haven’t tested out the wear time just yet. But even if they didn’t wear that long, it wouldn’t be too much of a hassle to throw into your makeup bag since it is so thin.

New Renaissance – Contour Stix $5 USD
I really haven’t heard anyone talking about this product but I was really intrigued by it when it launched on the website. It seems like a good staple brown, not too warm, not to cool. I haven’t tested this one out just yet but I’m hoping it will be easy to blend for those quick application days that time is minimal.

Kathleen Lights – Eyeshadow $5 USD
As soon as I saw the swatches for this eyeshadow I knew it had to be mine. It’s described as a bright golden copper in a pearlised finish and I couldn’t agree more. As soon as I swatched it on my hand I knew it was a new favourite. The metallic/shimmery Colourpop eyeshadows are just the best, if you haven’t tried them out, what are you doing with your life!

Cami – Matte X Lippie Stix $5 USD
Not like I needed any more pink lipsticks … but this one was just so pretty to leave behind 🙁
It’s a new formula! Matte X – so that makes up for it right? Right?!
I know I’ll get heaps of wear out of this one because it is just my type of colour: “a neutral mauve pink”, magnificent.

Jellies – Ultra Matte Lips $6 USD
So this one is just a tad bit out there? Well, for me it is anyway.
I had my eye on the Jeffree Star liquid lipstick in Blue Velvet – also a bright blue colour, but I was thinking, why would I spend over $25 on a lipstick I’ll only wear now and then, so I decided to find a dupe, and here it is! Obviously, it’s not going to be the same formula and the colour is slightly different, but for me, it’s close enough.

Petit Four – Ultra Satin Lips $6 USD
Clearly I was feeling a bit adventurous on this day, picking up another unorthodox colour – this “deep charcoal grey”. I feel like this will be really suitable to wear during the colder months which we are currently in (yay Winter … NOT!) I have a feeling that my mum is going to be giving me some really odd looks when I’m wearing these lipsticks.

Kae – Ultra Matte Lips $6 USD
I finally gave in to buying a brown lipstick, but instead of spending $40 for the Kylie Lip Kit, I opted for the $6 option. Whatever, I probably won’t be getting too much use out of it, or I might love it! Who knows, if I’m into the brown trend I’ll probably end up buying True Brown K in the end.

And that’s it! I was pretty happy with my purchases considering they all cost about $50 all up, you really can’t beat the Colourpop prices and their amazing quality. Of course, they aren’t the best of the best, but for what you pay for, it really is difficult to beat. Did any of you manage to pick something up during the sale? Or any time recently for that matter – let me know what your favourite pick up was and I might just check it out on my next order.

Christy xoxo
