My Favourite Foundations

It has taken me years to find my favourite foundations and it has all happened in the span of about 1.5 years.

HOURGLASS Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick – $67 (Buy now)

This would be my go-to everyday foundation if it was not so expensive for the amount we get. With this foundation, a little does go a long way (which is even better). With a very flawless finish, the coverage is buildable to suit you – personally I like a light-medium coverage. To apply, I recommend using a dense brush over a beauty sponge to really blend it seamlessly.

I have oily skin and this foundation doesn’t exaggerate it, I have yet to try it with another setting powder to see if it exaggerates my oily complexion.

NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint – $66 (Buy now)

The Velvet Matte is my most trusted matte finish for the face. It is called a skin tint, however in my opinion it is much like a foundation even one application it gives great coverage. It is extremely buildable to give you a full coverage if you want.

What makes this product even better is that it is extremely lightweight. I use this at least 3 times a week, it has lasted me over 6 months and I feel like the tube is still full! The only down side to this product is that it does does oxidize – so be careful before you buy it!

TOO FACED Born This Way Foundation – $57 (Buy now)

My most trusted foundation, ever. It makes my skin look so radiant and luminous – which is so hard to find.

Depending on what I am doing during the day I would need to blot (as a normally would), sometimes there is no need too. The coverage is buildable to be a full coverage.

Application is easier to blend with a beauty sponge over a brush, it leaves a more natural finish. To lock this foundation in all day I use the RCMA No Colour Powder.
